Above the Sky CD

The title of Evan Wickham’s new album “Above the Sky” is the actual definition of the biblical word for "Heavenly Places" or "Heavenlies" (the title track of the album) found in Ephesians 1. The new batch of songs were written with specific eternal realities in view.
There is so much uncertainty in society these days. In these crazy economic times, people everywhere are anxious about material things. Where will my money, my job, my house be in a year from now? I personally know many believers that are actually losing hope. Today more than ever, I believe we as Christians must awaken to the liberating truth that we are citizens of a Heavenly Kingdom right now. In Ephesians 1, Paul tells us that God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Paul prays that our eyes would be opened to the sheer impact of this reality. Evan’s prayer is that as we sing these songs to Jesus, the assurance of our future overwhelms all uncertainty of the present.
