In his commentary on "Hebrews," William R. Newell consistently traces the Christological theme throughout the book of Hebrews. He focuses on Christ's superiority to angels, Moses, Abraham, and creation. This work is written in a practical and devotional style, but also contains comments on the Greek and English texts, and footnotes that provide discussions on the historical background and critical context of passages. Eight appendixes are also included covering such topics as teaching of baptisms, the nature of the church, authorship of Hebrew, and the books that follow.
