Galatians/Eph, Letters NDSBP In this commentary on "The Letters to the Galatians and Ephesians," William Barclay explains how Paul wrote the letter to the Galatians, in order to refute a belief that restricted God's grace to those alone who followed Jewish ritualistic law. Instead, Paul proclaimed that grace is offered freely to all, Gentile and Jew alike. A distinction of the letter to the Ephesians is that it was probably a circular letter and not addressed to a specific individual church. Also in this epistle, Paul was more meditative and poetic in his style as he wrestled with problems of good and evil to present that unity will be achieved ultimately when all things are gathered together in Christ.
