"Biblical Types of the Rapture of the Church," by Pastor Bil Gallatin, is a booklet packed with good teaching. A "type" can be defined as a historical person, place or thing, designed by God, having an essential feature, which corresponds to another person, place or thing, yet future. An "antitype" is the term used to describe that future fulfillment. Pastor Bil says, "Concerning the Scriptures, Augustine said, ‘the new is in the old contained; the old is by the new explained.’ One of the ways that God Almighty teaches is by the use of Biblical types." The rapture of the Church is an event that we can all depend upon happening just as the Scriptures state. The Holy Spirit has given us types of this event in the Old Testament. As we search the Scriptures, this concise booklet reveals much about the "mystery," the rapture of the Church, referred to in 1 Corinthians 15:51.
